Founded in 1995, Paulex Ltd. has evolved from a small family business supplying oil and chemical absorbents, into a multi-faceted company providing specialist pollution control products and services, oil spill response and environmental consulting throughout the UK and overseas.

Paulex, now trading under the group name of Paulex Environmental, has two main divisions, Environmental Solutions and Environmental Consulting, and is driven by a group of experienced and qualified environmental professionals.

Customer satisfaction is a priority for Paulex Environmental and our belief that ‘people work with people’ is supported by our commitment to providing a quality service that is pragmatic and cost effective. Our honest and reliable approach has gained the trust of a wide range of clients, from small local businesses to multi-national corporations and insurance companies, many of which have appointed Paulex as their preferred supplier of spill solutions, emergency spill response and environmental services.

With effect from Monday 20th July 2020, we are merging our operations with Seed Environmental.

Seed has seven offices throughout the UK and is headquartered in Newmarket, Suffolk. Both Paulex and Seed specialise in environmental and property incident response, site investigation, remediation and restoration services, environmental claims management and monitoring for insurance companies, commercial and public sector clients along with homeowners.

We have worked together in the past and the synergy between the two businesses is perfect. Both companies have highly skilled staff with an enormous bank of knowledge, they share a passion and belief in the excellence of the services they provide and, for Paulex clients, having the backing and support of a national organisation is going to be a great benefit. Seed having their own contracting arm will also add to the Paulex offering throughout the south west and beyond.

This is very much a strategic merger to enable us to improve our service and broaden our offering.

The combined business has offices in Newmarket, Exeter, Doncaster, Reading and Tewkesbury, with new offices having been opened in Glasgow, Belfast and Inverness in the last 18 months

The merger of the companies means very much ‘business as usual’. Seed is working to significantly expand the Paulex presence in the south west of England, potentially doubling its size and creating new jobs. Nicholas Mullen is also joining Andrew Matley and Mathew Watts on the Seed Environmental board.
